AWS SES drip campaigns and email workflows, without per-contact pricing
Many providers charge you per contact for workflows. We simply don't understand the reason for that. To us, the cost is at the email, not at the workflow. That's why we are introducing workflows for AWS SES. Get full drip campaign support on the back of your SES at a flat price.

A welcome email is a good start. What happens next is where a useful customer journey begins.
A new subscriber needs an introduction. A trial user needs help getting started. A customer who hasn’t taken the next step may need a reminder.
With SendOps, you can run automated email workflows and drip campaigns through your own Amazon SES account. Set up the journey, decide when people should receive each message, and let the workflow handle the follow-up.
Workflows are included in your flat SendOps fee. There’s no extra workflow charge and no per-contact charge for the people in your workflows. You pay AWS directly for the emails you send through SES.
Build a sequence around your customers
A drip campaign lets you spread your messages over time. Instead of putting everything into one welcome email, you can introduce people to your product at a useful pace.
For example, a welcome sequence could:
- Send an introduction when someone joins your audience.
- Wait two days before sharing a getting-started guide.
- Check whether they’ve completed a step your application tracks.
- Send a relevant follow-up or end the sequence.
SendOps workflows support delays, conditions, and different paths through a journey. You can use the contact information and activity available in SendOps to decide what happens next.
That gives marketers room to build onboarding sequences, educational campaigns, and follow-ups that respond to where someone is in their journey.
Keep control of who enters and when emails go out
Automation should make your work easier to manage.
SendOps lets you define what starts a workflow, whether existing contacts should join, and whether someone can enter again. You can also set sending windows and frequency limits to manage the timing and volume of your messages.
Before activating a workflow, you can simulate a contact’s path to check the sequence. A visual view helps you review the steps, waits, and branches, while optional send approvals give your team a chance to review messages before they go out.
Consent and suppression checks apply when messages are sent, so being in a workflow doesn’t automatically mean someone will receive every email.
See where people are in the journey
Once a workflow is running, you can inspect its progress: who has entered, where contacts are waiting, and where they have exited.
For marketing and operations teams, that makes it easier to answer practical questions. Is the sequence reaching the intended audience? Which path are people taking? Why did a contact stop receiving follow-ups?
You can review the journey and investigate individual runs from the same place.
Grow your audience without a workflow contact bill
A growing contact list should give you more opportunities to build customer relationships. It shouldn’t make you hesitate to add people to a useful sequence.
SendOps includes workflows in a flat fee, with no additional charge for workflow contacts. Your email sending is billed separately by AWS SES.
That means you can plan your campaigns around the experience you want to deliver, with a clear separation between the cost of SendOps and the cost of sending your emails.
